*About Me

Married, Mom to one daughter (“Explorer”) and one son (“Adventurer”), Dentist.

I am studying the Islamic faith and am anticipating converting. My strongest desire is to submit to the will of God.

Right now I am spending my days with my family, working on a homeschooling curriculum for my toddlers, doing speech therapy with my son, reading the Holy Qur’an, taking care of patients and searching for a practice to purchase.

I enjoy life, love, learning and thinking.

I get into poetry and love reading.

I hang out on the net because of I’ve met so many amazing people this way.

My hobbies include crocheting, cooking, reading about different religions and different people’s lives, among many others.

I’d love to learn Mandarin (and am trying my hardest!)

I’m proud to have battled metastatic cervical cancer and won!

……and lots lots more. Just ask.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I’m intrigued by your religion and would love to hear more (I’m not looking to take on a denomination or anything, just genuinely interested and curious). Also interested in your career – are you a doc, RN, PA, NP, etc? Congrats on an uneventful visit to the gyn-onc! One circumstance when uneventful means wonderful! Anyway, nice to meet you and I hope to stay in touch:)

Thanks for stopping by, Laurie! I am a dentist. Sometimes I’ll talk a bit about being a Wiccan on this blog, but I tend to do so more on my other blog: “Blessed Moon Family Coven”

I linked to your blog from my other blog.

Hi M
I found your blog via a comment on ethnically incorrect daughter in regard to VN adoptions…I grew up in the Salem, MA area and had a number of connections with Wiccans. Beautiful! Congrats on battling cancer. I’m sure much pales in comparison to that journey.

If you’d like some more info on our experience with VN adoption, drop a line. The issues there are, sadly, not exclusive to VN, wherever adoption exists, corruption does as well. That includes China…

best wishes,

MuslimBlogz.com

Assalamu alaikum,

We’re launching a new site like Blogger.com but for Muslims only. It’s called MuslimBlogz.com and wanted to know if you feel your readers would find it useful. Please take a moment and visit the site and maybe consider linking to us.

We are planning on making a section for Muslim Bloggers who are not using MuslimBlogz.com and starting a link exchange for those with blogs like yourself that aren’t in need of our services. We are also very open to other suggestions you may have in improving this service for the digital Ummah.

Jazakallah khair for your time

Yes I do think your site would be very helpful. On this blog I get dozens of hits each day from people who are looking to learn more about Islam. I think there is a lot of desire for knowledge out there. It’d be great to have links to so many blogs collected in one place! And, sure I’ll link you!

Assalamualaikum M,

Stumbled upon your blog via a comment at islaminchina in the “Chinese American Muslims in NYT” article. I admire your dedication in delving into Islamic teachings and I hope for the best, for you and your family.

Hey m,

I’ve been through your blog which is kind of hard to do. May I suggest adding the archive or catagory or search widgets in the sidebar for easier navigation.?

Anyway, I’ve always been curious about someone on the other side of the pond i.e. someone thinking of converting to Islam as opposed to me who has left it. Left a few comments on some of your old posts. Ali.

This always sounds thus easy if you make clear this that way. Nonetheless have to examine what you reported yet again. It isn’t the same this is Parts of Asia. The natives maybe visualize it somewhat differently. I love to look for a good Cookware female mindset.
